TURKISH MONEY - TURKISH LIRA(TL)

Based on the authority entitled by Law No.1211, by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey it is decided to WITHDRAW E-8 EMISSION GROUP NEW TURKISH LİRA BANKNOTES FROM CIRCULATION AS OF JANUARY 1, 2010 whose properties are presented in the table enclosed, all bearing on the front side, the clause "14 OCAK 1970 TARİH VE 1211 SAYILI KANUNA GÖRE ÇIKARILMIŞTIR.”

The legal circulation period of E-8 Emission Group New Turkish Lira banknotes, which will be in circulation along with E-9 Emission Group Turkish Lira banknotes between January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2009 according to the Decision of The Council of Ministers dated April 4, 2007 and numbered 2007/11963, will expire as of DECEMBER 31, 2009 and these banknotes will be redeemed for a period of ten years starting from JANUARY 1, 2010 to the closure of working hours on DECEMBER 31, 2019 which is the end of the 10 years legal redemption period, at the branches of the Central Bank of Republic of Turkey and Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Ziraat Bankası. The banknotes will be of no value as of JANUARY 1, 2020.
